Kristin Barnes, OD

Kristin Barnes, OD

Clinic Director

At the Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute, Dr. Kristin Barnes specializes in the preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of patients. Dr. Barnes received her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. She then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to receive her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree. While in optometry school, Dr. Barnes served as the President of Nova Optometric Practice Management Association (NOPMA) and President of the national Student Optometric Leadership Network (SOLutioN). Due to her compassion and dedication to private practice, she was awarded with the VSP & AAOF Practice Excellence Scholarship and was the recipient of the Marchon Practice Management Award of Excellence of her graduating class. She was inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, which is awarded to the top 10% of each class that demonstrates outstanding professional and ethical attitude through leadership and service to their class, college and profession.

During her clinical rotations, she completed externships at a multi-subspecialty ophthalmology private practice and a VA hospital, all of which encouraged her to pursue a residency in ocular disease after graduation. She completed a 13-month Residency in Ocular Disease at Aran Eye Associates in Miami, FL, where she worked extensively with each ophthalmology specialist and experienced a high-volume of diverse patients.

She gained valuable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, and pre- and post-operative management of surgical patients. In addition, she performs light treatments for our Light Adjustable Lens patients. Outside of work, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and golden retriever.

Kristine Park, OD

Kristine Park, OD

At the Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute, Dr. Kristine Park specializes in the preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of patients.

Dr. Kristine Park earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego. During her final year of optometry school, she completed externships at several diverse clinical sites, including Tsehootsooi Medical Center in Arizona, Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital in Florida, Eisner Health and ChapCare clinics in Los Angeles, and South Coast Eye Care Center in Laguna Hills, where she gained extensive experience managing a wide range of ocular conditions.

Dr. Park further advanced her training by completing a residency in Primary Eye Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System. During her residency, she presented a poster case titled “Chronic Hemi-retinal Vein Occlusion with Macular Edema Secondary to Methamphetamine Use” at the American Academy of Optometry meeting in Orlando and authored a case report titled “Digging Deeper: Ocular Albinism.”

Dr. Park has a strong clinical interest in refractive and cataract surgery care and enjoys guiding patients through their surgical journey, from preoperative evaluation to postoperative care, to help them achieve their best possible vision. She also performs light treatments for patients with the Light Adjustable Lens, helping refine and optimize their visual outcomes after surgery.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Park enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and especially cherishes time with her daughter. She also enjoys exploring new restaurants and traveling around the world.

Brianne Woo, OD

Brianne Woo, OD

Dr. Brianne Woo earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B Ketchum University after receiving her Bachelor of Sciences from University of California, Riverside. During her last year of optometry school, she completed her externships at US Army Camp Zama, Japan, Veterans Affairs in Las Vegas, and Azul Vision in Los Angeles. During her training, she was awarded Cum Laude for her academic achievements and awarded multiple scholarships. She continues to be involved in the community through California Optometric Association, American Academy of Optometry, and American Optometric Association. Dr. Woo enjoys crafting, thrifting, trying new food places, and traveling around the world.

Linh Ho, OD

Linh Ho, OD

Dr. Linh Ho earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at Western University of Health Sciences after receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Fullerton. During her clinical training, Dr. Ho completed externships at a specialty dry eye clinic in Seattle, Washington; the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California; the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington; and Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She was inducted into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society, an honor awarded to the top 10% of each graduating class who demonstrate outstanding professional and ethical standards through leadership and community service.

At Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute, Dr. Ho provides comprehensive eye care with a focus on pre- and post-operative management for LASIK, cataract, and refractive surgery patients. She is dedicated to delivering compassionate, individualized care and takes pride in helping her patients achieve their best possible vision.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ho enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Mabel, as well as trying new food, traveling to new places, and exploring arts and crafts such as crocheting and journaling/planning.
