Kristine Park, OD
At the Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute, Dr. Kristine Park specializes in the preoperative evaluation and postoperative care of patients.
Dr. Kristine Park earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences after completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of California, San Diego. During her final year of optometry school, she completed externships at several diverse clinical sites, including Tsehootsooi Medical Center in Arizona, Orlando Veterans Affairs Hospital in Florida, Eisner Health and ChapCare clinics in Los Angeles, and South Coast Eye Care Center in Laguna Hills, where she gained extensive experience managing a wide range of ocular conditions.
Dr. Park further advanced her training by completing a residency in Primary Eye Care with an emphasis in Ocular Disease at the Veterans Affairs San Diego Healthcare System. During her residency, she presented a poster case titled “Chronic Hemi-retinal Vein Occlusion with Macular Edema Secondary to Methamphetamine Use” at the American Academy of Optometry meeting in Orlando and authored a case report titled “Digging Deeper: Ocular Albinism.”
Dr. Park has a strong clinical interest in refractive and cataract surgery care and enjoys guiding patients through their surgical journey, from preoperative evaluation to postoperative care, to help them achieve their best possible vision. She also performs light treatments for patients with the Light Adjustable Lens, helping refine and optimize their visual outcomes after surgery.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Park enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and especially cherishes time with her daughter. She also enjoys exploring new restaurants and traveling around the world.
