Advanced Vision Technology, Thoughtfully Applied

Wavelight Plus LASIK with SightMap

Maloney-Shamie-Hura Vision Institute was the first center in Los Angeles to offer WaveLight® Plus, the newest generation of laser vision correction.

This advanced platform uses SightMap ray-tracing technology to analyze how light travels through the entire eye—creating a highly detailed 3-dimensional model of your visual system. Unlike older LASIK systems that primarily measured the cornea, this technology maps the entire optical pathway of the eye, allowing our surgeons to design a treatment uniquely tailored to each patient.

The result is a level of customization and precision not previously possible in laser vision correction.

EVO ICL Planning Technology

For patients who are better candidates for lens-based vision correction rather than laser surgery, MSHVI offers the EVO Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) procedure.

Successful EVO ICL surgery depends on extremely precise measurements of the eye’s internal anatomy. Our surgeons utilize specialized planning tools including ICL Guru Pro™ diagnostic software and Sonomed ultrasound imaging to evaluate the eye in detail and determine ideal lens sizing and placement.

These advanced measurements help ensure the lens fits the eye properly and allow our surgeons to plan the procedure with a high level of confidence and precision.

Oculus Pentacam®

The Pentacam® rotating 3-D imaging system provides a highly detailed analysis of the cornea and anterior eye. By generating thousands of data points in seconds, it helps surgeons evaluate corneal shape, thickness, and stability when planning vision correction procedures.

Alcon ORA™ System

The Optiwave Refractive Analysis (ORA™) System provides real-time measurements inside the eye during cataract surgery. This intraoperative guidance helps surgeons confirm lens power selection and refine visual outcomes.

ZEISS CALLISTO eye®

The ZEISS CALLISTO eye® surgical guidance system digitally overlays important surgical data into the operating microscope. This advanced guidance technology helps improve precision when positioning astigmatism-correcting lenses.

NGENUITY® 3D Heads-Up Display

The NGENUITY® 3D surgical visualization system allows surgeons to operate using ultra-high-definition digital visualization rather than a traditional microscope view. This advanced technology enhances visualization of delicate structures within the eye.
