Lindsey Vonn's LASIK at MSH Vision
Lindsey Vonn is widely considered the greatest American alpine ski racer of all time. With 84 World Cup wins, 20 World Cup titles, three Olympic medals, and eight World Championship medals, she is one of only six women in history to have won World Cup races across all five disciplines.
When Vonn came to MSH Vision ahead of the 2014 season, precision vision wasn't a preference, it was a professional necessity. Racing at speeds exceeding 80mph, reading terrain and gate placements in fractions of a second, her vision had to be flawless. The day after her procedure she was already seeing 20/20, with 20/15 expected within days.
After retiring in 2019 due to chronic knee injuries, Vonn made one of sport's most remarkable comebacks in 2024, returning to World Cup competition at age 40 following a successful knee replacement surgery. In December 2025, she became the oldest downhill skiing World Cup winner in history, claiming her 83rd World Cup win in St. Moritz at age 41. She went on to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics - her fifth Olympic appearance.
Her LASIK was done in 2014. Everything that came after - the wins, the records, the comeback - she saw clearly.
